For 9 years now, Zenucchi Design Code has been a partner of the Tennis Tournament organised for charity by the Bergamo Sports and Solidarity Academy!
To unveil the news of the 2017 edition, the forty-first, the appointment is for Friday 12 May 2017, at 11.00 in the Council Chamber of the District of Bergamo, Via Tasso 8, for the press conference.
On the same day, from 19.30 in the ‘Stone City’ exhibition park in Bolgare, Via Europa 38, there will be a welcome aperitif for all guests and partners, in a sumptuous setting, accompanied by the ironic verve of Carletto Bianchessi, Zelig comedian, and a series of musical performances. During the same event, some vintage cars participating in the 90th edition of the ‘Mille Miglia’ will be present, and the magazine ‘Photo News’ dedicated to the event will be presented.
Tennis 2017 will feature the 26th Achille and Cesare Bortolotti Trophy (men’s doubles), the 11th Giacinto Facchetti Trophy (men’s singles A), the 8th Elio Lodovici Cup (mixed doubles), the 3rd Sports and Solidarity Academy Cup (team competition) and the 4th Franco Morotti Tournament (men’s singles B). The matches will be played from 19 May to 8 June, every evening from 17.00 to 23.00, all at the long-established ‘Mongodi’ Sports Centre in Cividino, Castelli Calepio, where the ‘Hospitality Village’, with a catering service, will also be open every evening.
A tournament for sportsmen, entrepreneurs, and illustrious personalities from the public and social life of Bergamo and beyond. But above all, a tournament among friends, with a concrete commitment at its core: with the 2016 edition, the Sports and Solidarity Academy raised one million one hundred and fifty thousand euro donated to many virtuous organisations in and around Bergamo and further afield, as demonstrated by the extraordinary help sent to Amatrice, the town hardest hit by last August’s tragic earthquake.
And the association’s solidarity activities “animated” by Giovanni Licini continue: for 2017, the Academy will support the activities of the Bergamo Hospice, the Italian Association of People with Down Syndrome for the “Workers in Progress” project, and the Associazione Aiuto al Neonato, that operates in the Neonatal Pathology Unit of the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital.
