Sebastian Herkner’s Bell Table turns our perceptual habits on its head, using the light and fragile material of glass as a base for a metal top that appears to float above it. Hand-blown in the traditional way using a wooden mould, the colored clear glass base asserts a sculptural presence in the space, contrasting intriguingly with the solid brass structure on top and forming a harmonious unity with it, recalling the Elegant curved silhouette of a bell.

Each table is handmade and has characteristic features such as irregularities in the thickness of the glass, small bubbles or bumps in the glass. In 2024, high-quality craftsmanship has been taken to a new level and the Bell Side Tables and Bell Coffee Tables are complemented by a version with straw inlays worked into the table top. Using precision craftsmanship, individual strips of straw are applied to a base panel, spreading outwards from the center across the surface like rays of sunshine.
