Artist’s biography:
Antonio Altieri, artist from Campania, born in 1950, has been present on the art scene since 1975 and exhibits his works since 1980 in personal and public exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad. Autodidact passionate about tempera since he was a boy, then ventured into oil on canvas. His style recalls the abstraction of the 50s, with a continuous search for new forms and techniques. His works exude emotions, making tangible a silent introspection through colors and details that resonate in those who observe. Characterized by wide spatulas, that start from the description of landscapes and then often get lost in pure abstraction, with bright colors, festive that from the center of the canvas seem to explode and then become rarer to the edges, with almost futuristic atmospheres in the vision of houses that seem animated, It shows us how it is possible to combine the classicism of subjects with a happy contemporary stylistic research.
