Artist biography:
Tullio Cattaneo lives and works in Brescia. A graduate of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, he won first prize in the Contemporary Lombard Cculpture Competition in Ospitaletto in memory of C. Ghidoni in 1992.
The artist’s prevailing interest in the human figure is already clear in the graphic sketches, and in the sculptures it is expressed in three fundamental themes: the heroic male nude, the female nude and the portrait, in which the archaic matrix is combined with the search for stylisation.
