Biography artist:
Manuel Bonfanti born in 1974, lives and works in Bergamo, Italy.
Manuel Bonfanti’s research was born with Pop art. In 1996, attending the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, the artist began to create works that recall objects of common use, revisited in a playful and ironic.
At the same time the artist is interested in the immateriality of objects, seeking spirituality in his works.
Although the two aspects – pop and spiritual – may seem at odds with each other, for Bonfanti they are two sides of the same coin: “An object is not just a physical thing, it has a whole invisible world around it”.
