The iconic LC4 was designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand and exhibited at the Salon d’Automne in Paris the following year.
LC4 Chaise longue is the chaise longue par excellence, designed from an analysis of reclining chairs, to give voice to the concept of relaxation and the desire to place the person at the centre of the design, reflecting the correspondence between form
and function in a balance between geometric purity and corporeity. The stability of the seat, at any angle of inclination, is ensured by the friction with the rubber tubes used to clad the pedestal crosspieces.
LC4 embodies the concept of comfort in the seat shaped according to the natural lines of the body.
