Graduate Collection – Bookcase

Graduate is a suspended bookcase by Jean Nouvel for Molteni&C. Metal uprights with graduated notches placed at different heights are attached to its support surface, fixed to the wall; the shelves are positioned in relation to the notches, supported by invisible hooks. The support surface and shelves are in anodized aluminum finish with plywood profile.
Graduate is a structure suspended in the living room: everything in it seems to float in the void thanks to its invisible support mechanisms. In its design, the formal purity is embellished by the lightness of the solids and voids that fit together in a harmonious play of volumes made of air.
