Eames Plywood Mobile B Collection – Decorative object

In the early 1940s, Charles and Ray Eames conducted a series of experiments with the aim of perfecting their plywood molding techniques. These investigations led to the creation of two objects whose biomorphic shapes strongly resemble Ray’s works of art and graphics. The Eames hung them like mobiles from the ceiling of their apartment in Los Angeles. Each Plywood Mobile consists of two abstract plywood elements of organic shape that playfully rotate around each other.
