Artist biography:
Marco Lodola was born in April 1955 in Dorno, in the province of Pavia. After classical art studies, he found a way to bring together strong and solid colours with futurist and pop formal simplification. Thus was born his unmistakable style, inevitably influenced by his passion for the 1950s and classic Italian icons such as the Vespa, pin-ups and vintage cars. Music, entertainment and society are the mirror of his art, which finds its greatest exacerbation in his famous light sculptures strictly with pop colours and synthesised shapes.
His numerous television and music appearances accompany the many exhibitions, museums, galleries and art events, making him a constant fixture on the contemporary art market, qualifying him as one of the most sought-after and highly rated Italian artists.
