Almendra Short S2 Collection – Suspension lamp

Almendra is a collection of lamps designed by designer Patricia Urquiola, 2022 and manufactured by the famous and illustrious Italian brand Flos. The beautiful Almendra collection draws its inspiration from nature. It is immediately apparent from its silhouette, a perfect combination of geometric rigour and curves drawn from the plant world. The link with nature, however, is not purely formal; on the contrary, it is accompanied by careful design aimed at minimising environmental impact. Almendra petals, in both their opaque and transparent face, are made of a special polycarbonate that, instead of oil, is derived from a by-product of paper production. A sustainable plastic material, sourced from renewable resources, of natural origin but which does not unnecessarily consume land and water with specific crops for its production.
