A renovation to create the perfect home for a young family
When a young family of four decided to renovate their apartment near Lake Iseo, their vision was clear: to create a warm and welcoming home featuring a spacious open space with a contemporary aesthetic and luxury details. A place where they could spend quality time together, surrounded by high-end materials, bespoke design solutions, and refined style. Having previously furnished their second home, the family once again turned to Zenucchi Design Code to transform their two-level apartment into a sophisticated and functional living space. The main floor was designed as a large open space that seamlessly connects the kitchen and living area, creating a harmonious dialogue between the spaces. The kitchen, by Poliform, features an elegant anthracite tone with an HPL countertop, an operational island, and a wall unit with retractable doors that conceal the sink and pantry. Lapalma stools complete the ensemble with a touch of minimalism. The living area is centered around a spacious Flexform corner sofa, complemented by a Baxter pouf and a Vitra leather armchair with a matching footrest. The fireplace is integrated into a partition with a brass-clad finish, while the TV area stands out with its marble-effect design and a suspended, matte lacquered unit. A sophisticated walnut boiserie system adorns part of the wall, extending into the dining area, incorporating a raw iron niche and ending with a random-effect mirrored finish. The TV wall is completed by a Gallotti&Radice bookcase. In the dining area, the Baxter table with a Patagonia marble top is paired with Flexform chairs, while a pair of Maxalto sideboards add extra storage. Outside, on the terrace, a cozy Roda swing chair with a matching side table provides the perfect spot to relax in the open air. An elegant hallway discreetly hides a built-in laundry space, optimizing functionality without compromising style. The guest bathroom, adorned with marble-effect gres, features a sleek freestanding Boffi washbasin unit and an Agape mirror, creating a sophisticated and minimalist atmosphere.

An Intimate and Elegant Night Area
A custom-designed central staircase in painted iron with wooden steps connects the main floor to the mansard-style night area. The first two steps in iron blend seamlessly with the supporting structure that wraps around the wooden steps, creating a striking architectural statement. The master bedroom is furnished with a refined Baxter bed, while the children’s rooms are personalized with Gervasoni beds and Vitra chairs for their study areas. All wardrobes, desks, and additional furnishings were custom-designed to adapt perfectly to the varying heights of the attic, ensuring optimal use of space. In the night area bathroom, a bespoke washbasin unit houses an elegant Agape countertop sink, seamlessly integrating with the overall refined aesthetic of the project. Great care was taken in selecting high-quality materials and lighting solutions. The oak parquet flooring adds warmth to the interiors, while the bathrooms are enhanced with marble-effect gres coverings. The terrace flooring was specifically chosen to complement the home’s overall aesthetic. Lighting, both architectural and decorative, plays a fundamental role in shaping the ambiance. Renowned brands such as Flos, Davide Groppi, and Henge were selected to strike the perfect balance between beauty and functionality. Additionally, Zenucchi Design Code provided a complete supply for the bathrooms, including faucets, sanitary fixtures, and showers, selecting premium brands such as Agape, Boffi, and Cea. This project perfectly embodies the fusion of elegance, functionality, and personalization. Thanks to the meticulous attention of Zenucchi Design Code, the family now enjoys a home that fully reflects their lifestyle—contemporary, welcoming, and enriched with exclusive details that make it truly one of a kind.
