Fare di casa propria il luogo più idoneo nel quale rifugiarsi.
The owners devoted time and attention to restore their abode, an ancient building in the historic centre of a small town in Val Camonica; they wanted to enhance everyday life thanks to welcoming and well-organized spaces. The first refurbishment project has been carried out upstairs a few years ago. The owners recently finished the ground floor makeover too, entrusting Zenucchi Arredamento’s interior designers with this task. In this second phase, the goal — fully achieved — was to turn the whole ground floor into a perfect setting to share moments of conviviality and relaxation. The owners’ wish was to create the most suitable place to be after a hard day at work or to invite friends for the pleasure of companionship, tasting good wine together. Therefore, the structural restoration and the interior design favoured the selection of solid oak flooring and the creation of a ceiling with bleached beams and plastered walls to complement the original vaulted architecture — with stones and exposed rock slabs — that gives the abode a warm and rustic ambience.
At the entrance the wine cellar stands out.
At the entrance, behind a glass partition wall, the wine cellar stands out next to the staircase in grey resin that leads upstairs. On one side, the gym area opens up with Technogym fitness equipment — Kynesis and a treadmill —, a wall-mounted TV, a composition of iron ore boxes partially recessed in the wall and an iron gym bench. From here, a hallway — accessible by a couple of steps — leads to the kitchen and to the toilet. Following the convivial aim of the space, the kitchen is highly functional, modern and crafted using stainless steel and with an Iroko solid wood countertop. On the opposite wall, a cosy wooden bench placed near the table invites you to take a seat, make a toast and get the party started. In the end, lights — hanging lamps with exposed wires — complete the whole setting.
