A play of mezzanines to connect spaces.

This is exactly what happens in this house in the hills of the middle ValCavallina. Built in 2007. Finally, today, the drawings of a house that had been left “half-built” were brought out again. A feeling of the need for continuity emerges. The workers who had followed the work on the same villa, the parents’ home, years before, were contacted: Zenucchi Design Code and architect Paolo Bina once join forces to complete the important and cherished project. A demonstration of trust by the client, who placed their heart, soul and trust in their skills for the second time. A portion of the three-storey villa with an adjacent swimming pool and large garden – has now been revisited and skilfully completed. An interplay of mezzanines made it possible to connect the living spaces naturally, like in a circuit.

A truly ingenious design and spatial continuity.

The kitchen and sleeping area are on the ground floor, which is cleverly connected to the mezzanine by a staircase: a truly ingenious design and spatial continuity. The study and living room area also look down on Zenucchi’s design pieces, which were entirely redesigned by Zenucchi to fit in perfectly with the final concept. Close cooperation with the best manufacturers thus led to the production of fully customised furnishing elements. The Alea kitchen by Varenna with its high-gloss finish and brushed flamed African black top interacts with the island block, also by Varenna, surmounted by the original and customised Canaletto walnut snack top. The kitchen door required special work, in liaison with Rimadesio, for a unique end product. The table by Molteni and the white leather armchairs are also perfect next to the sideboards by Poliform and Porro; the white leather sofa, Turner by Molteni&C, dominates the living area with Sartori’s antiqued patchwork rug and the two LC1s by Cassina. The fireplace and firewood holder were also made to measure. A gem that is almost impossible to find? Zandobbio stone with a hazelnut grain clads the master bathroom. A detail that defines the painstaking study of materials and the beauty of a work that continues over the years. Trust and respect.
