A wedding on the way and the desire for a family home
The creation of a new family. A wedding on the way and the desire for a family home. These were the premises for this Zenucchi renovation project in the Brescia area. A renovation that transformed the house of the groom’s parents into a duplex, divided in two by a wall running through the middle. As if to celebrate a new life, light filters through into every space. The sun’s rays, the rotundity of the moon. The atmospheric lighting which, like the endless weaves of the 2097 by Gino Sarfatti (1958, Flos), illuminates the glass top of the majestic but light dining table with scintillating geometric effects. There are no walls. No barriers. The living room area is a contemporary oasis suspended between the white ceiling and the warm wooden parquet chosen to cover the old cotto floor.
With happy days. With returns home.
The space is reminiscent of an immaculate container. A white shell which flirts with vibrant splashes of colour. The home is like a painter’s canvas, ready to be filled with moments of life. With happy days. With returns home. Little cow-shaped ceramics, Japanese-inspired dolls, colourful fish and a hippie giraffe populate the television walls and stand out on the back-lit Rimadesio glass shelves. They look out at the human world in wide-eyed wonderment. At the warm Massimosistema leather sofa (2009, Poltrona Frau), which invites you to forget about the world outside and promises long, lazy evenings in front of the crackling fire. The ultra-light glass sliding doors, full height, offer a glimpse of the Artex kitchen. Grey. Black. White.
