A renovation that transforms an apartment from the 1950s into a realization with a modern character
An apartment in a family house characterized by a setting of the 50s. A long-term working relationship that has led to a relationship of trust and esteem. These are the basic ingredients for the success of this project. The client has had a working relationship with Zenucchi Design Code for several years and during this period he was able to see the projects carried out so far and the passion that the team puts into every new work. Precisely for this reason, he gave Zenucchi carte blanche, placing complete confidence in their ability to satisfy his main requirement, that is to have a unique, not trivial home, tailored to the tastes and needs of the people who will live there. The project is developed around the use of natural materials: stone, in particular the Grape Stump, walnut wood, iron and resin. Wood not only covers the floor, but also the ceiling, creating a scenic effect and reducing simple masonry to the minimum: every surface has its own character and every material perfectly interacts with the surrounding environment.
Natural materials and modern design
These materials characterize the box of the apartment, creating the perfect setting to accommodate the design pieces that decorate its interior. The island kitchen is Key kitchens, while the columns have been made to measure, integrated in a paneling that also covers the walls. Iconic design pieces complete the living area: the Knoll table with Carl Hansen chairs and Louis Poulsen hanging lamp, the sofa and bookcase by B&B Italia. Even the sleeping area is not inferior: a huge swing door integrated in a wrought iron panelling leads to the main area, a real suite. The bed and bedside tables are Maxalto, complemented by a panelling that serves as a custom made headboard. The closet area is signed Porro. A wooden wall integrates the door leading to the bathroom, characterized by Ceppo di Gre cladding, bathroom furniture entirely made to measure, complemented by Agape accessories. Also the lighting was followed and provided by Zenucchi, characterized by the architectural line of Flos. A complete project with attention to every detail, which Zenucchi Design Code has followed in all its details, up to the fabrics and curtains, to create the nest so desired and imagined by the client.
