Modern life gives us little time to breathe and when we get home the first thing we want to do is enjoy some peace and tranquillity with our partners and families. A wish that has been granted for the owner of this home, often away on business, who commissioned Zenucchi Design Code to redesign his living space, tailoring it to suit his personality. “The aim was to enhance particularly the night-time area – explain the Zenucchi team – creating a suite space that also included a relaxation and wellness area. The original staircase was small so we decided to knock it down and redesign it to enhance the entrance to the loft, location of the night-time area/suite, the focal point of this project”. The highly original new staircase, custom-made by the designers – it is made from marron corteccia stone with different-sized blocks – adds dynamism and creativity to the space thanks to its particular composition. The daytime area was also redesigned with the emphasis on comfort, the living room a welcoming open space, with accessories supplied by Zenucchi, which makes the home larger and more liveable.

The designers – who renovated this house with the assistance of Edilor and Accademia 61 for the supply of the materials – have taken care of every detail, from the lighting to the curtains and doors, all replaced with Rimadesio products, and through to the works of art by Milo Manara. The floor in all rooms is in different formats of oak wood and designed to add warmth to the overall project. The most striking area of this dream home is without doubt the night zone, a comfortable refuge with its ultra-soft round Frau leather bed and large bathtub designed by Claudio Silvestrin and positioned on a Cardoso stone platform. Everything is very evocative and eye-catching. A comfortable place, ideal for relaxing and taking a breather from the frenetic pace of everyday life.
