Beauty, poetry and design coexist in this gorgeous apartment on Lake Garda.
A soft, airy sofa welcomes us into the living area of this gorgeous apartment just a stone’s throw from the lake. Everything is white and soothing; the perfect place to enjoy a sense of wellbeing every day. The interior design project was curated by the team at Zenucchi Design Code in Luzzana, Bergamo.
Beauty, poetry and design coexist in this gorgeous apartment on Lake Garda. An exquisite, welcoming home in which to live and enjoy the lake, especially in summer. “The owners,” explain the team at Zenucchi Design Code, “were looking for a light, comfortable feel, a special, personal space to spend the summer months in this area.” No sooner said than done. A wonderful resin floor creates a unique atmosphere inside the house, making it extremely airy and contemporary. Truly unique are some of the solutions adopted for the wall finishes, such as that used in the kitchen with Azulej di Mutina tiles and for the stairs with their vertical bleached solid wood battens. Making everything even more contemporary are pieces of design selected by the interior designers at Zenucchi Design Code, such as the Gervasoni table with a sheet top and log legs, Vitra chairs and a soft, fresh Moroso sofa. Some interesting practical solutions are provided by the “bleached” bench, made to measure in solid larch wood, with seat cushions in grey tones. The stairs leading to the upper floor are finished in the same resin as the floor, and the walls are decorated with round mirrors to create an attractive motif. Continuing the colour palette of the house, the bedroom has been designed in tones of grey and white, a light-filled setting with one wall featuring bleached solid wood hemlock battens. Again we see touches of poetry and design, such as the horsehair chaise longue by Cassina and the “Les Grands Trans-Parents” mirror, also by Cassina, a serial production of an original 1938 design by Man Ray.

Some of the home’s unique solutions include: the “bleached” solid larch wood bench, decorated with seat cushions in grey tones, shabby chic pouffe by Moroso and soft white curtains that caress the walls (Zenucchi Design Code). Left: Gervasoni table with sheet top and legs in sections of debarked logs. The seats are by Vitra and the ceiling lights are designed by Artek (Zenucchi Design Code).
Round mirrors (Punto by Minotti Italia) decorate the walls of the stairs leading to the night area. Below: a special covering for the wall next to the stairs is provided by vertical battens of bleached solid hemlock (Zenucchi Design Code). Left: the corner kitchen features decorative Azulej di Mutina tiles which cover the walls and worktop.
In the bedroom we find a piece of timeless design: the horsehair chaise longue by Cassina, accompanied by a Cicognino table by Cassina. The bedroom was designed with vertical bleached hardwood hemlock battens; the bed (Ivano Redaelli) is upholstered in pale fabric; freestanding TV and “Le Grands Trans-Parents” mirror by Cassina, a serial production of an original 1938 design by Man Ray (Zenucchi Design Code).
