Brass, bronze and marble. Velvet and leather. Located in the heart of Bergamo with a privileged view of the old city walls, if there is something that makes this home special it is without doubt its material lexicon and unique contemporary elegance. These were exactly the features that the buyers of the home – a married couple from Bergamo – were looking for. “They came to us – explain the Zenucchi team, which oversaw the entire interior design project – to furnish their home with taste and elegance. For this reason we chose top-quality materials and created custom solutions that met the expectations of the owners”. Solutions that are apparent as soon as you walk into the living room. Here, the real centrepiece is the splendid wall covered entirely in brass and designed with slabs of different sizes to create a dynamic effect and a unique overall atmosphere.

Brass is also used to upholster the custom-designed Zenucchi storage cupboard which rises as far as the ceiling to create an intriguing vertical feel. The raised television stand, also made entirely to measure, is covered in bronze mirror. The elegance of the daytime area is assured by the choice of furnishings designed by Antonio Citterio. Thanks to its blend of designer decor, art and functionality, there is something captivating about every room in this home. The study, for example, includes a 1950s bookcase designed by Franco Albini and produced by Cassina, while the night-time area has a very particular walk-in wardrobe consisting of a Porro closet with hinged doors and frame in burnished brass and smoke glass and a wooden chest of drawers with leather-covered bench.
