Elective affinities

There is no surer way of evading the world than by Art; and no surer way of uniting with it than by Art. So wrote Goethe in his immense novel “Elective Affinities” and in one sentence he managed to express the immeasurable value of artistic presence. When you enter a home and find unique pieces among equally interesting design elements, the feeling is precisely that of feeling at home, but also of taking a journey, through the materials, shapes and colours of the works. The interior design of the house was taken care of by the Zenucchi Design Code team. The owners chose a parquet floor with great “character” and Zenucchi Design Code based its work on this decision. It was therefore decided to make the rest of the living box neutral, to further enhance the beauty of the parquet. Neutral tones were also chosen for the furniture to make the wood cladding the real star of the whole house.

A large open space opens lengthwise from the entrance to the dining room, offering an amazing view of the whole. The unmistakable Minotti sofa and Fritz Hansen armchairs welcome us with the sophistication of their design. The TV-library cabinet made entirely to measure by the interior design team is striking. Beyond the dining area there is the kitchen, a design also conceived by Zenucchi. The dining room table is an aluminium Porro model with Molteni&C chairs. The fine parquet flooring enters the sleeping area and introduces us to the other spaces: an upholstered bed in Axil fabric has been chosen for the single room. All walk-in wardrobes are fitted with Rimadesio sliding doors and Rimadesio furniture systems. The owners’ love of art does not overlook the bathroom area of the house furnished, in addition to unique pieces, with taps, washbasins and sanitary ware by Boffi as well as a shower with Turkish bath by Effegibi. A perfect choice if you want the pleasure a small spa in your home.
