There are houses that capture your heart right away. And this villa is the perfect example. We aren’t in Hollywood, although you might be forgiven for thinking we were. This contemporary “sculpture” was designed by Studio Associato di Architettura Arch. Pergreffi S. e Arch. Scola M. An ambitious project in the province of Bergamo whose interiors were overseen by Zenucchi Design Code. “In projects such as this one – explain the Zenucchi interior designers – our job isn’t just limited to providing the furniture. We supported the work of the architects every step of the way, identifying the most suitable accessories but also studying and supplying horizontal and vertical coverings, customised furniture, the lighting, the fixtures and fittings, and all of the most appropriate finishes and solutions for the house.” Four elements shape the style of this house: glass, stone, concrete and wood.
A place where dreams really do come true
The most interesting features of the villa were created using these materials first and foremost. These undoubtedly include the staircase with glass barrier that leads to the night-time zone. Another interesting dividing element in the daytime area is the wall that separates the dining room from the kitchen, furnished in customised heat-treated acacia wood. The fireplace area is also delightful with its Gaia Grey stone upholstery and sheet iron firewood holder. The same sheet metal elements also reappear on the TV wall which is upholstered in a concrete resin with special tactile effect. The bespoke cabinets that complete the wall are full-height and their grey painted finish matches the colour of the resin to ensure the continuity of the entire ensemble. There are also bespoke solutions in the night-time area. One of the most alluring rooms is without doubt the bathroom with its custom-made shower in Marron Corteccia stone. But there are also other equally intriguing spaces dedicated to relaxation and leisure: the cinema room, the wine and aperitif room, the wellness area with pool and gym.
