Designer Architecture

The value of architecture depends on two distinct characters: the one, the impression it receives from human power; the other, the image it bears of the natural creation. This is how the art critic John Ruskin (1819-1900) defined beauty in architecture. An idea of beauty that seems appropriate to describe this splendid dwelling, created from the restoration of an old farmhouse.
The interior design and renovation project was taken care of by the Zenucchi Arredamento team, which, through continuous and virtuous interaction with the clients, supplied every element of the house, from furnishing accessories to lighting, from objects and rugs to works of art: some of these, including sculptures and paintings, were suggested and supplied by Zenucchi Arredamento itself. A villa full of fascinating details and design details, which reinterprets its origins and elevates them to the highest level of beauty. The atmosphere is cosy and, although contemporary, very romantic.

Preference was given to materials and colours in shades of white and grey, which can be found in the slate stone slabs of the floor on the ground floor and in the white-washed oak parquet. These materials are harmoniously combined with the choice of glass: the transparencies make the fitness room, whose floor is made of walkable glass panes embedded in a brushed steel structure, unique. The extreme care is evident in all the rooms, from the choice of structural elements to the design details, and the living area is an example of this with its designer furniture and airy yet cosy atmosphere. Also the kitchen – another designer piece – is striking: made entirely of brushed steel, juxtaposed with the Corian® columns that furnish the side walls. Another room in the house with a unique atmosphere is the basement. Here there is another “big-size” kitchen, accompanied by a designer dining area. But the surprises keep coming. The beautiful indoor pool with stone floor is a paradise for everyday relaxation, where there are elements of art and design touches, such as the particular sculpture library.

The same care and attention has been given to the outdoors. Here too, like in every corner of the house, beauty reigns.
