The lighting points are placed in such a way as to create effect lighting.

Deciding to change, transform your spaces – the ones you are used to – give them a new look, live your environment in a completely new, more contemporary but still comfortable and cosy, way. This is what happened in a penthouse, located in the heart of Trescore Balneario, which Zenucchi Design Code completely renovated by modifying the furnishings, the choice of materials and the layout of the rooms, leaving unaltered only the external structure, which could not be touched due to the architectural constraints protecting the residential complex to which the flat belongs. The work carried out on the terrace, in particular, enhances the splendid view of the surrounding landscape overlooked by rooftop swimming pool with the dual function of jacuzzi. An oasis for relaxation and swimming, despite being rather small, thanks to the presence of a counter-current motor; a dream location protected by glass walls, transparent on the side facing the view, frosted towards the inside of the terrace where there are sun loungers, a table with Dedon seats, two Coro rockers and two pomegranate trees whose bright green contrasts with the dark brown colour of the furniture. Framing the horizon line is a row of dwarf Cicas palm trees that evoke an elegant resort on the Côte d’Azur or another holiday destination. A cleverly designed space, seemingly larger than its 50 square metres, to truly experience the outdoors, relax, welcome friends, creating different situations by day and by night, from a pool party for the kids during the day, to a dinner immersed in a suggestive atmosphere at sunset, always with the feeling of being on holiday, 365 days a year. Contributing to this is the sophisticated design of the lighting points, placed in such a way as to create direct and indirect effect lighting. On the other hand, the material chosen for the floor, Damascus stone in shades of grey and brown, conveys a certain perspective and depth thanks to the rectangular chequerboard lay. Simply total white for the interior.

An almost heavenly and extremely relaxing atmosphere.

From the living room to the kitchen, from the bedroom to the two bathrooms, everything is white: a choice that is never monotonous thanks to the use of a wide range of materials, which create different shades and tones of white, from the sheen of iron to the matt of fabric, from the glossy lacquer of wood to the softness of leather, giving the environment an almost heavenly and extremely relaxing atmosphere. Illuminated by natural light, which enters through the spacious opening leading to the terrace, the living area is dominated by the presence of the fireplace, two metres long and technologically ultra-modern thanks to the remote-controlled activation device. A black alcove that contrasts with the décor when turned off, a long flame that lights up the room when in use, the fireplace is the result of custom-made suspensions and a play of joints that allowed us to create a space for a cabinet containing the television and DVD players. Opposite, a Hamilton sofa by Minotti in leather and fabric embellishes the living room area that borders directly on the dining room characterised by Porro’s polished iron table surrounded by Minotti’s leather chairs and a series of vertical storage units by Cappellini that contribute to elongating the walls. Immediately adjacent there is the Varenna kitchen, formed by a steel island with central pillar, a deliberately enlarged structural element, behind which are the columns with the ovens, refrigerator, white goods and wine cellar. As with the terrace, the positioning of the lights in the house has been studied with care, alternating warm and cold lighting points, incandescent LEDs strips with wall ducts, floor spotlights with appliques that create original circular fluorescent effects; all by Modular and Ares. The furniture in the master bedroom is minimal, with the Sera model bed in white leather by Frau and a capacious made-to-measure wardrobe by Poliform, a tall, linear chest of drawers positioned next to the door to the bathroom, which is also white, with taps and accessories by Boffi and Damascus stone. The second bathroom in the house, on the other hand, has a laundry area, with a glossy gelcoat tub and accessories, also by Boffi, and a shower made entirely of Damascus stone. Special care has been taken in the choice of the curtains, which are simple and light, consisting of a single, slightly ruched fabric covering the large French windows in the lounge and the other windows without encumbering the decor; the technological systems are also concealed and not at all invasive, ranging from air conditioning to the speakers for playing music, while the radiators are flat and ultra-thin. The choice of material for the floor is sophisticated: pure white Carrara marble, machined and polished to a

matt finish.

The only space that is completely different is the child’s bedroom, which is painted in a deep, bright blue; a made-to-measure project, carefully designed down to the smallest detail, to create a cheerful environment suitable for a child’s world, with an imaginatively shaped bed in the centre that brings to mind situations and characters from science fiction stories, and a single wardrobe, in five fading shades of blue, that embraces the only French window in the room.

The entrance to the home has also been renovated, with a lift rising directly from the basement, and a staircase where the existing steps and openings have been edged with white plaster, to make the access to the living room more impressive and sophisticated, immediately giving the impression of a change and the new, more modern and innovative style that pervades the home.
