Horizontal views and cascades of light pervaded the spaces.
The architectural design by Studio Domus is essential, with attention to detail and designed to create perspective cuts of great visual impact. Each view in the house depicts an auteur scene, a narrative dotted by striking moments. The house we are guests in, and which we tiptoed into, left us speechless. It is far from being an impersonal home; on the contrary, it has a strong character. It packs a punch, certainly the result of the owners’ passions; a note that the designers were able to capture and, with skill, build into an image. The building envelope to be furnished was characterised by large light sources: horizontal views and cascades of light pervaded the spaces. And the entire furnishing project was inspired by this natural source, with balanced shapes and colours, chosen to enhance the space and Melania Tognoli’s works of art. The slatted ecowood panelling, for example, was custom-made to complement the lift door and the door of the corridor leading to the sleeping area. In this way, the space is expanded and highlights the original paintings in the background.
A refined furniture design with a strong character.
The same cladding material is used for Boffi’s island, Zone model. Here, the ecowood is combined with the double-thick steel top and the matt lacquered kitchen columns with X12 handles. The texture changes in the living room but the colour is the same and is expressed in the leather version of Moroso’s Rift sofas, combined with khaki, and a neutral rug by Minotti. The strong personality of the rooms is resonant and the echo even reaches the master bedroom embellished with Poltrona Frau’s Aurora bed, flanked by Poliform’s wardrobe and Porro’s TV cabinet. In the bedroom, on the other hand, we find shades of ochre. Here, orange invades and saturates the entire space: bed and shelves define its boundaries. A service bathroom timidly appears next to this space dedicated to the children. All the furniture is by Cima and reflects the bold décor encountered so far. A tone with a strong character also found in Rimadesio’s Spin doors, with a black frame and coffee-coloured lacquered glass. Orange and brown are therefore the predominant colours of the décor. But in the shots, we find another element that definitely characterises the spaces: the cement cladding. Its colour veers towards greys, but its texture is edgy and assertive, perhaps more so than the colour. The features of this house define a physiognomy with great personality. A character that Zenucchi Arredamento has mastered its choice of furniture with skill and equilibrium. Only in this way, calibrating the weights, was it able to enhance a sophisticated furnishing project with a strong character.
