A home tailor–made around the family that lives in it.
Interior design requires care, attention, creativity… and complicity. If synergy is not created between the designer and the client, it is difficult to create a warm and interesting home. Just like that created following the encounter between Zenucchi Design Code and a young couple and their beloved dog. More precisely, in the hills around Lake Iseo, in an unspoilt area, where nature still has a well-defined role in the territory, is the latest project by Zenucchi Design Code, which has succeeded in creating an elegant small villa, a home that has been tailored around the family living in it. A space with great personality, cosy, with minimalist lines, but capable of gathering together elements of design, modernism and art, which speak of the passions of the owners. Colour harmony envelops every space, making them pleasant, and unusual and unique furnishing elements embellish it. The project revolved around two objectives taken as the driving principles of the new distribution: to maintain a clear division between the living area, on the ground floor with double height, and the sleeping area, and to favour natural lighting also in the interior spaces. The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxed. In the living area there is a striking split black slate floor, soft curtains suggest an idea of lightness and light-heartedness, while the work carried out on the television wall, in which a false wall was created, clad with wax-treated raw sheet iron, was decidedly original
The functional and emotional wishes of the owners were respected.
Next to the family sofa, several design elements stand out, such as the Gyrofocus fireplace, by the French company Focus, the Button Tables by B&B Italia and the Tabouret coffee tables and LC4 chaise longue by Cassina. The light-coloured rug is of Berber origin while the red, antique carpet belongs to the family. Great attention was paid to the interior design of the On Off kitchen by Boffi. Visually, the use of white and Corian, with its reflective surface, makes the space appear larger than it really is. Spatial continuity and its elongation is also ensured by the Axis table, by Acerbis, made of glass, positioned along the length of the kitchen and surrounded by Bertoia chairs by Knoll, with a hanging lamp designed by Catellani&Smith. Also on the ground floor is a bedroom with a Privè bed by Ivano Redaelli and a bathroom with a split black slate wall, furnished with the Ottocento bathtub by Agape and the Index Bifacciale round mirror, also by Boffi. On the upper floor there is also a loft, which overlooks the living area, and the master bedroom with its bathroom. Space is also given to design in these rooms: the master bedroom in the attic is furnished with the Glamour bed by Redaelli, while the bedside tables are from Kartell and the mirrors behind the bed are I Punto, by Minottiitalia. Thanks to these interesting furnishing choices, the functional and emotional wishes of the owners were fulfilled. And only with this philosophy has a near-perfect design been created, almost… leaving perfection its share of subjective interpretation. For a home where only experience will bring out the uniqueness of an authentic, chic project, without unnecessary ostentation.
