Poltrona Frau and Luce della Vite

Poltrona Frau and Luce della Vite

See the photos of the visit to Tenuta Castelgiocondo di Luce della Vite in Montalcino which Zenucchi also took part in.

It is the artisanal attention to detail that makes a wine, as well as an armchair, unique and perfect: each 1919 armchair requires 9 square metres of leather, 17 metres of string, 90 metres of thread, 12 buttons, 32 springs, 320 leather studs  and 22 hours of workmanship. Each bottle of Luce is born from 8 square metres of soil, 2 Sangiovese plants and the same number of Merlot plants, 500 hours in the vineyard and the same number in the cellar, 100 analyses and 150 tastings, over 30 months of ageing to guarantee a life of 20 years.

At the Castelgiocondo Estate there was the special edition of the iconic “1919” armchair, “Pausa di Luce”, created ad hoc by Poltrona Frau for Casa di Luce, a project conceived by Lamberto Frescobaldi in 2009 to celebrate the exclusive and elegant style of this great wine with strictly Made in Italy creations that are inspired by Luce and reinforce its personality, uniqueness and prestige.

Upholstery in the special Pelle Frau® Century Luce leather, shades of red as intense as the shades of Luce, a glass rack in natural oak like the barriques that hold Luce during ageing, a gold button on which the customer’s initials are engraved and a personalised and numbered brass plaque.
