For the first edition of Christmas Design, from 25 November to 7 January we will be present, to celebrate with a grand finale the closing of the year of the Capital of Culture, organized by DUC (District of Urban Commerce of Bergamo) with the collaboration of the Municipality of Bergamo and VisitBergamo.
Among the fifteen most prestigious Made in Italy companies we joined the initiative with the aim of creating value for the community, through a project that tells the story of Christmas and its themes of reflection.
The project, realized in collaboration with the architect Massimo Castagna, was inspired by the guiding theme of the event Christmas Design 2023: “Homage to Yayoi Kusama – Infinito Presente“, which brings for the first time to Bergamo a “therapeutic” landscapeor a meditative magic made of sparkling reflections and small lights, which welcomes a world muffled halfway between reality and imagination.
Our Christmas Pop installation designed by Massimo Castagna is on display in Largo Gianandrea Gavazzeni, near the Donizzetti Theatre.
The interactive installation is designed to be an unconventional Christmas tree, which projects lights and colored shadows on the architecture of the Donizzetti Theatre and the “Sentierone”, in the heart of Lower Bergamo.
No explicit reference to the shapes of a real tree, an absolutely abstract work, made up of transparent plexiglass architectures that recall the peaks of the Dolomites and the skyline of Bergamo Alta. It is possible to enter and cross it becoming part of the work itself, generating colored shadows in motion, perceptible both by those who admire the installation from the outside and by those who cross it. In the evening, moreover, the work comes alive thanks to the plays of light that arouse the emotions that are felt in front of the lights.
An invitation to immerse yourself in the enchantment of the Christmas holidays like never before and to share the emotion of a unique experience.
